Paulina Colwell is a Communications Strategist with Gateway, primarily focused on building comprehensive strategic corporate communication campaigns, including media relations, executive eminence, digital and owned media.
She previously worked as an in-house PR Strategist for a small real estate startup, helping the team conduct survey and research studies such as “The Best Coffee Cities” and “Recent Home Buyers Survey” to generate backlinks for the company. Her career switch into the PR field from a background in Journalism started with an internship at Elle Communications, a PR Agency focused on nonprofits and conscious communications. She helped launch campaigns and collect media lists to secure outreach for companies such as the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, Akola, The Resilience Force, and Rock the Vote.
Paulina graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a double minor in Political Science and Women and Gender Studies with an International Media Certificate. While in undergrad she held multiple writing internships for digital political publications and served as a personal assistant for a travel writer, where she attended a press trip to the Snowmass Balloon Festival and secured her first travel piece in Go Nomad. She also was a part of the broadcast news team at the University of Wollongong, Australia, where she studied abroad.
In her free time, Paulina enjoys working out, yoga, attending concerts, exploring California, the beach, and thrift shopping. As a Colorado native she is a huge outdoors fanatic and loves skiing and hiking.
