Karissa Chan is the Director of Human Resources at Gateway, focused on fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture through forward-looking talent management and organizational development.

Prior to Gateway, Karissa led HR for growing companies in the technology, healthcare, and non-profit industries. Her work in startups and acquisitions fueled her passion for empowering teams to scale.

Karissa is an MBA candidate at UCLA Anderson School of Management and earned her BA in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine. She is a Senior Executive Member of UCLA Anderson’s Human Resources Round Table and a SHRM Certified Professional.

Outside of the office, Karissa enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.
